On Sunday, 28th September, the residents of Weybridge Park once again showed what an incredible community they are. Braving the rain, neighbours organised and enjoyed a day of fundraising in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The afternoon was full of activities to enjoy, from bingo and a tombola to live entertainment. Refreshments and cakes added to the occasion, and despite the damp weather, umbrellas didn’t dampen the mood. Smiles, laughter and plenty of conversation filled the green areas of the park.

What made the event so special was that it was entirely put together by the Weybridge Park residents themselves. From setting up to running the games and serving refreshments, it was a true community effort. It perfectly captured the neighbourly spirit that makes life at Weybridge Park so welcoming.

Every ticket played and every slice of cake enjoyed helped raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that offers vital help to people and families across the UK. The generosity and commitment of the residents was clear to see throughout the day.
